I've just discovered amazing new products at home interior and they are called wall stickers. They does not sound very impressive, do they? For me the name evokes images of the kind of small stickers from Disney cartoons that my five older girls will buy a magazine.
Thankfully they could not be more different. They are large-scale designs graphic which when applied to the wall to give the impression that the design was painted directly on the wall. The range of designs is large. If you want to create a peaceful, harmonious feel to your room there are hundreds of nature-inspired designs. One of my favorites, called Falling trees Leaves, is particularly beautiful. There are also some impressive baroque designs such as black or gorgeous chandeliers wrought iron railings. If architecture is your thing, then try a large decal of Parisian rooftops. For children there are some nice ideas for both boys and girls. I really like the look of an ornate carousel horse for my daughter's bedroom.
So how they work? They are applied to a clean smooth surface such as a painted wall and the process is the same applying as a transfer or temporary tattoo to your skin. They could very easily be removed so that they are perfect for rental accommodation or for those of us who like to have a regular change in our decor with minimum fuss.
There is a great choice of colors available. As can be coordinated with whatever paint you choose your wall possibilities are endless. I really like the look of sharp black silhouettes on a wall painted white, but I'm drawn to equally to cash more combinations of a white sticker on the background wall of the eye.
A quick search online and you will find that there is a large selection available from companies across the world. Prices vary from a few pounds for something small and simple to well over one hundred major works detailed scale. I have asked around and discovered that it is best to check if there were wall sticker completely cut out for you. Apparently some of the cheapest companies are supplying a product that requires cutting low excess of vinyl which can prove very tricky - especially with complex designs.
I can not wait to get stuck in! I've just got to make up my mind between a list of 10 wonderful designs ... must be the eyes or dandelions in the bedroom? Trees stanches winter or spring in the living room ... help!
