What is the best Netbook (not Notebook) for a student?
I am a student that needs a little laptop (Netbook) for quick notes, and I we have 6 class periods, so I'm just looking to charge him for one or two periods (perhaps one). it must be small, lightweight and very portable. I had my eyes on Acer Aspire One, which is looking good with the Linux version. I had a look at MSI Wind, but only IM looking to spend $ 400 (possibly $ 450). PLZ help me! thanks!
The Acer Aspire One Netbook is a really good choice, and those easily available at the moment, one I'd go with (and not to go - I got an EEE). If you are looking for use it primarily as a student (taking notes, writing papers etc.), then you will not need storage some of the other netbooks out there and Linux 8GB Model should be fine. Another plus is that one is proper keyboard. As a student, will make a lot of typing, whatever whether the case notes or documents and a normal keyboard (or as is normal, since they may be Netbook) is crucial. While some Eees have similar settings, you will notice that most of the other netbooks there are disfigured shift keys, weird hand placements and other such things. The One is not ideal, but it is so close as you can get away. Also So, although the battery lasts only about 3 hours, Acer is set to release a model with larger battery, which must be significantly better for longer - may have enough for 4 or 5 classes without a recharge. It will cost slightly more, of course, but thankfully Acer has lowered the price so that the model with more battery should can still fit your requirements.
