Other than Samsonite, Targus is the other laptop case brand in the market that is a decent challenger to Samsonite.
Targus has a best seller in the TXL617 17 XL Notebook backpack. I will be hunting for the a rolling version soon though, for those who aren't too keen on carrying a laptop on their backs.
But for the record, 217 customer reviews averaging 4.5/5 stars can't be too far wrong.
It can load up to 17 inch screens. Though I suppose not too many would want to carry such a heavy laptop.
It has a main compartment for file storage, which is always good when you need to carry around all those important documents.Â
It even has storage for sunglasses and water bottles. Sunglasses I can understand, although I would not recommend the water bottle for obvious reasons.
All that is rounded up by a limited lifetime warranty.
Quite a few of the customer reviews appreciate the huge size of the backpack. I suppose when you're taking that flight, it would be a good idea to consolidate all your stuff into one bag.
The numerous compartments also help to segment the various laptop accessories that invariably come with the laptop, including the power adapter.
One particular customer even let his daughter use this backpack for schooling purpose, claiming it could hold all the books.
Another customer mentioned bringing in clothes and toiletries in the backpack. Â Personally I can't imagine packing my clothes with my laptop. But I had to let you know your options.
In order to be objective, I will go through a few of the critical reviews. This will give you a balanced view on this product.
Some customers mentioned that it could be smaller as it seemed quite bulky on their backs. Smaller framed users could also find it awkward as it might keep sliding off their shoulders, although it is perfectly understandable.
But all in all, everyone who had bought the targus laptop bag, even while griping about the little things, agreed that it was still a fantastic bag, and nothing is better than getting the seal of approval from your fellow customers.

Christopher Brown will be reviewing more laptop cases. Keep you posted!
